Located 2 km north of the village of Kastria, 17 km south of Kalavryta and 9 km from Klitoria and at an altitude of 800 meters is located in the Lake Cave.The entrance of the Cave is quite spacious with a height of 3.5 meters and a width of 6.5. The eastern orientation of the entrance makes the Cave particularly suitable for habitation. The presence of prehistoric pottery in and out of it has been established. The cave itself is 2 km long and has 13 stepped ponds separated by stone walls.A river passed through the cave, which is evidenced by the remains of its riverbed. The old fauna shows that the fossilized bones found there belonged to its first inhabitant, a hippo. The cave has not been exploited all along, but about 500 meters away. The entrance is through an artificial tunnel and bridges have been constructed for the visitors. The Lake Cave has been integrated into the Natura 2000 network.
